The Global Road Safety Partnership, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit (JH-IIRU), are hosting the second Regional Global Road Safety Leadership Course in Nairobi, Kenya from March 4 – 16, 2018. This course is offered twice each year, and is made possible by the generous support of Bloomberg Philanthropies, as part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS).
The two-week training program aims to build leadership capacity to understand, design, advocate for, and implement effective road safety programs and policies among people who are active in road safety activities from low- and middle-income countries. Participants, who are nominated by key partner organisations within the BIGRS, are drawn from a wide field of expertise including enforcement, policy, urban design, infrastructure, law, and journalism. The course covers topics drawn from the Decade of Action on Road Safety’s five pillars of action, which are delivered by experts from GRSP, JH-IIRU, WHO and others.
