Together we can save millions of lives
Road traffic deaths every year
It is estimated that 1.35 million people are killed each year taking an immeasurable toll on families and communities.
People are injured each year
Up to 50 million people suffer serious, life-altering injuries which, in many low- and middle-income countries, directly contribute to the poverty cycle.
A global crisis requires a global effort
One of the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) targets (3.6) is to halve the global number of deaths and injuries from road traffic crashes by 2020. Yet nearly 3,500 people die on the road every day.
The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) brings together governments, civil society and businesses to address this humanitarian crisis.
GRSP works globally through a proven “public- private- civil society” partnership model to contribute to the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.
Our organization is a hosted programme of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
