KCB and Global Road Safety Partnership Advance Strategic Collaboration to Scale Road Safety

KCB Group has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing road safety following a two-day strategic mission to the headquarters of the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) in Geneva, Switzerland, held on 8–9 July 2026. The visit strengthened collaboration between the two organizations and laid the foundation for a long-term partnership aimed at accelerating private-sector participation in road safety and sustainable mobility initiatives.
During the engagement, KCB Group Road Safety Programs Director, Mr. George Njao, presented the KCB IMPACT ZERO Road Safety Platform—a private-sector-led initiative designed to complement government road safety programmes and public-sector interventions through the pillars of Advocacy, Innovation and Literacy. The initiative is envisioned as a regional platform example for road safety intelligence, learning, innovation and catalytic investment in Africa.
The discussions focused on establishing a long-term KCB–GRSP strategic partnership, positioning Kenya as one of GRSP’s flagship implementation countries. The mission also explored GRSP’s global portfolio of road safety programmes, technical assistance, funding and co-investment opportunities, private-sector road safety initiatives, and institutional capacity building that could be deployed across Kenya and the wider KCB footprint.
A key outcome of the mission was progress towards the 2026 GRSP Annual Global Road Safety Conference, which KCB will host in Nairobi, Kenya, in November 2026. Discussions covered the conference programme, technical sessions, sponsorship, resource mobilisation, media engagement and launch activities, while also identifying opportunities to jointly develop pilot programmes, partnerships and implementation roadmaps for Kenya and the region.
Through collaboration with GRSP, its members and other strategic partners, KCB will leverage global expertise, technical advisory support and international best practice to localise flagship road safety programmes across the markets in which the Group operates. These initiatives are intended to serve as scalable examples of how the private and public sectors can work together to deliver safer roads, stronger institutions, improved road user behaviour and sustainable mobility outcomes across Africa.
Speaking during the mission, George Njao, KCB Group Road Safety Programs Director, noted:
