Global Road Safety Partnership Appoints Joint Vice Chairs
The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) is pleased to announce the election of Reyes Gonzalez Jannon of Nestlé (Switzerland) and Majed Samarah of QatarEnergy (Qatar) as Joint Vice Chairs of the Partnership. Their appointment reflects GRSP’s commitment to strengthening leadership across its global network and advancing impactful road safety initiatives worldwide.
Reyes Gonzalez Jannon is Head of Safety at Nestlé, where she leads the company’s global safety strategy, including road safety across its operations, logistics, and sales activities. She has driven the implementation of practical road safety programmes and global standards that strengthen leadership accountability, improve safe driving practices, and promote collaboration across employees, contractors, and transport partners. Reyes has also served as an active member of the GRSP Executive Committee, contributing through Nestlé’s long-standing engagement with the Partnership.
Majed Samarah is Principal Safety Advisor (Road Transport) at QatarEnergy, currently seconded from Shell. He brings extensive international experience in road transport safety, contractor safety governance, and safety management systems across Jordan, Nigeria, and Qatar. In addition, he serves as Vice Chair of both the Land Transport Safety Committee and the Contractor Safety Technical Experts Committee within the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP), supporting the advancement of industry collaboration and global best practice. QatarEnergy has been a committed GRSP member for several years, and Majed has played an important role in supporting its mission to reduce road traffic injuries and fatalities through cross-sector collaboration. He brings to the Vice Chair role a strong commitment to strengthening partnerships, advancing global road safety outcomes, and scaling evidence-based interventions.
