GRSP’s Support to Member States Recognized by the UN Secretary-General

Back to news

The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) is honored to be recognized within the UN Secretary-General’s 8 September 2023 report to the General Assembly for our work supporting Member States with dedicated technical assistance.

As a way forward regarding the implementation of the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021–2030, the report states:

(f) Leverage the full potential of the multilateral system, in particular WHO, the good offices of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Road Safety, the United Nations regional commissions and relevant United Nations entities, as well as other stakeholders, including the Global Road Safety Partnership, to support Member States with dedicated technical assistance and, upon their request, in applying voluntary global performance targets for road safety when appropriate;

We thank all our partners for their work as part of the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) delivering road safety legislative support and advocacy at the state and local levels.
