Road infrastructure is reported to be poor, with insufficient resources to handle the growing number of vehicles in Algeria. Alongside, unskilled drivers and lack of mandated vehicle standards are considered to be key contributing factors to the growing incidence of road traffic crashes and resulting injuries.
