Country Summary
Through the Bloomberg Philanthropies sponsored project, Road Safety in 10 Countries (RS-10), the Global Road Safety Partnership has been working with the RS10 consortium partners to implement road safety activities around seat belt wearing in two main cities, Ankara and Afyonskayar, starting in 2011.
Recent achievements include a training on needs assessment, which was carried out with the Turkish Police, and two successful seatbelt wearing workshops in Ankara and Afyon. These will which will be followed-up with further consortium partner interventions in 2012.
