Every day, road crashes claim roughly 3,200 lives — a yearly total of 1.2 million road deaths. Fifty times that many are injured. The Global Road Safety Partnership has since 1999 brought together governments and governmental agencies, the private sector and civil society organisations to address road safety issues in a number of low and middle-income countries. The portfolio of projects and working relationship are constantly expanding at the local, regional and national levels.
